Gary & Katie: A Memorable Wedding at Barton Hall, Kettering
As a wedding photographer in Northamptonshire, I recently had the pleasure of documenting a beautiful wedding at the stunning Barton Hall in Kettering. Nestled in the picturesque county of Northamptonshire, this venue has charm and elegance, making it the perfect setting for a memorable celebration.
Barton Hall, with its unique character and charm, left a lasting impression on me. Set amidst breathtaking surroundings, the venue boasts long halls that may require a sense of direction (bring a compass if you're directionally challenged like me!). However, once inside, you'll be appreciate the stunning venue.
A Vibrant Yellow Theme:
The bride, Katie, greeted me with enthusiasm, and I immediately noticed the vibrant sunflower yellow theme of the wedding. It was a unique and refreshing choice, bringing a touch of summertime to the occasion. Katie effortlessly embraced the theme, infusing the wedding with a sense of fun and uniqueness.
In the midst of capturing candid shots of the groom and his sons getting ready, I had a surprise when I found Katie posing in a bathtub (fully clothed may I add), entertaining her friends. Embracing the moment, I encouraged her to grab a bottle of champagne and indulge in a sip. She knew the task and we had a good laugh with it.
The amazing Orangery Room:
The ceremony took place in the breathtaking Orangery room, an awe-inspiring space unlike any other. With its expansive glass dome roof, the room bathed in natural light, creating a lovely ambiance for the exchanging of vows. As Katie made her way down the aisle with her father, the bond between her and the groom, Gary, was noticeable, reflecting their relaxed and genuine bond.
Cheers and Celebrations:
With confetti filling the air and glasses filled with champagne, it was time for the guests to celebrate, mingle and cuddle. Lot of laughter with friends and family toasted to the couple's happiness and shared in their celebration.
The speeches were a highlight of the evening. Gary delivered to everyone a funny anecdote about his house-hunting journey, which ultimately led to finding not only a home but also a lifelong friend and partner in Katie. The speeches resonated with love, laughter, and heartfelt sentiments, leaving everyone touched.
A Golden Golden Hour Moment:
Gary and Katie had initially expressed a relaxed approach to couple photos during the day. However, as the golden hour took over the venue in a warm glow, I couldn't resist suggesting a brief photoshoot. Katie, taking a break from the dance floor where she had been throwing some epic shapes, agreed. We ventured outside and captured some sweet moments in front of the orangery room, the perfect backdrop.
Photographing the wedding at Barton Hall was a amazing experience filled with a lot of fun, unique moments, and an plenty of love. From the vibrant yellow theme to the enchanting Orangery room, every detail contributed to a day that will be cherished for years to come.
